A rich man is found dead in his garden and is found by his wife who then calls for a private detective. Then the scene goes back in time to show the duration of his life up to the murder whilst the detective is working out what happened. It follows his career as a successful business man and his family dealing with his gambling problems, although it is found that these each link with his death..
